CIRCLE OF SECURITY PARENTING PROGRAM

Parenting doesn't come with a manual. It's common to feel lost or unsure about what our child needs from us and how to best meet those needs.

What if you had the confidence to be there for your child in the ways that matter?

What if you could show up for your child to meet their needs while still honouring your own?

What if there was a scientifically proven way to strengthen your relationship with your child?

Well you can and there is.

SO, WHAT IS IT?

The Circle of Security (COS) Parenting Program is a group coaching program backed by decades of research. It provides tools and insights to help you understand the needs behind your child’s behaviours.

Trust your own wisdom while learning ways to:

  • Strengthen your bond with your child

  • Love them for who they are

  • Feel confident in meeting their needs—while still honouring your own

COS embraces 'good enough' parenting, recognising that:

  • Parents are human and sometimes make mistakes

  • Striving for perfection isn’t just unrealistic—it’s not actually good for kids

  • Embracing authenticity and the natural messiness of parenting helps build security and connection

By focusing on relationship over perfection, you offer your child the gift of safety, security, and deep connection.

  • How does it work?
Each week (for 8 weeks) we meet via Zoom to work through the chapters of Circle of Security together. The program consists of a combination of videos, exercises and group discussion. We spend time between sessions digesting, reflecting and practicing what we learned the week before. Each week we invite you to share your ‘Circle Stories’ because once you learn about 'The Circle' - you start to see it everywhere in daily life with your little ones. Please note that weekly sessions are not recorded so we can maintain privacy and the integrity of the group nature of the program. This is a guideline from Circle of Security International. If you know you will be away for one of the weeks, you can contact me to arrange a catch up session.
  • What do we learn?
During the course of this perspective-shifting program, you will: Understand more about your child’s world and learn to anticipate their emotional needs Be better equipped to help your child feel and manage their emotions Gain confidence in your parenting and improve your child's self esteem Learn to honour your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure
  • Who is it for?
Parents of children aged 0-5 years who want to gain confidence in their parenting, strengthen the bond they have with their child and reflect on the ways in which they were parented. If you have a history of a complex family dynamic, mental health challenges, abuse or neglect - please consider that therapeutic support from a registered health professional may be more appropriate for you.
  • How much does it cost?
$440 AUD* If you'd love to join us but now just isn't the best time for you, pop your name on the waitlist to be the first to know when the next round is announced! *Payment plans are available.
  • How long are the sessions?
Sessions will typically go for about 1 hour - some sessions are longer than others.
  • Can my partner join?
Absolutely, but they have to be all in, committed to coming each week, willing to listen, learn and share - just like you are. To make sure we protect the integrity of the group space, everyone needs to feel as though we are 100% in this together. If your partner will be joining, make sure to let me know on the booking form after you sign up.
  • My baby is still little, it is ok to join?
Yes! The Circle is happening from the minute you meet your baby (actually, from the moment you realise you're pregnant). Some of the things we talk about become more relevant or obvious as your child grows, but the earlier you know about the Circle the better. Starting off on the right foot can make all the difference when it comes to your relationship with one another.
  • Can I still come if I don't have childcare?
Navigating life with small humans is tricky! Whilst it will of course be easier to concentrate and engage when it's just you, you can absolutely still join if your little ones are with you. When in group, just make sure to hit the mute button whenever you need to!
  • Is there a self-paced option?
Unfortunately not. Circle of Security was designed and is intended to run as a group program. The beauty of this program is through reflection and group discussion, where we bounce ideas off one another and bring our thoughts, fears and feelings to the table.
  • I can't make this round, when is the next intake?
I'm still finding my feet in running this program, and with a small family of my own I don't yet know how often I'll be able to deliver it. If you can't do this round but are definitely still interested, please join the waitlist and I'll keep you in the loop!
  • Is there a payment plan option?
Absolutely - please email me at hello@scienceminded.org if you would like to organise this.
